nope i must do it! two things i want to get done right away...my rear sway bar on and some steering bushings. oh, and my 02 sensor put back in so it runs right :oops:

How embarrassing...atleast he beat some stangs!! LOL True testament to driving skills...DO NOT!! I REPEAT, DO NOT BLAME THE CAR!! Well, I guess you can blame the car too! The RS is crap IMO...but atleast he has a cool shift knob and mitsu pedals...I wonder if he used used the wrong setting for raod conditions...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
So when are you going to head out here Adam. I don't know why you fear Autox, because I KNOW you'd dig it.
Evo's are meant for autox/road course racing! DO IT!

Its hard enough maintaining the damn thing just as a daily driver, let alone fucking something up doing Auto-X...I am in search of a beater, so the EVO will be garaged...then I may take it to the track...Its onlly seen the 1320 once...for me that's unnatural...

the spec is not the best for the 1320 (my opinion) thats why I never ran it, but it is fun on the auto x track, the evo should be alot of fun! what are you going to tear up? some bushings, tires?

You NEED to go for a ride-along at the next one! its such a blast to feel what a car can do thru the twisties!! And you'd be surprised at how little of a "beating" a car really takes. Hell Kev's s2000 was going all day with 2 different drivers like nothing! only thing that wears will be tires, and even thats not bad if its only an occasional thing.

Yeah what they said. I drove pretty fast and abused the hell out of my tires, but my co-driver was even faster (2nd fastest time in competition and Time Only's). My car has about 130 autox runs in a less than a year and 100 of them are on r compounds.
Running R compounds with the extra grip will cause more wear on the car, but if you aren't going to drive the tires off your car...why buy the car or tires? :P
