Completely stock 1999 Mazda Miata with leather package, pw, pl, ps, bose audio, and most importantly TORSEN lsd :) It's all stock for now.

I've already bought some wheels and tires. Found a used set of 13 x 8 Rota Rb's with Ecsta V700 235-45-13 R-compound tires. They'll be here on Thursday.

What's next? I/H/E/Flywheel/shortened revalved konis/ground controls
That's all :) Not sure what order I'll be doing everything. It all depends on my miata consultant recommends.

Oh, I drove Brian's (eunos) miata today and it was pretty damn fast. I think I'm going to have some fun when I learn how to brake w/o ABS :)

I think it went something like this:

Brian asks, "So does Julie have enough leg room to drive?"
I respond, "Don't know, don't care"
Brian cheers, "you the man!"

Julie wont' drive it anyway.

Later that evening...
phone rings

Kevin kinda mumbling "Hey Brian, umm, well, umm I kinda have a small favor to ask"
Brian "Sure whats that"
Kevin " Can I come crash at your place? Julie kicked me out"
Brian laughs

Just remember that when...

* You need me to move it in/out/around/of the driveway,
* You need to pick something up that's larger than a breadbox, and I need the toaster...
* You get a wild hair up your ars and decide to sell the 200...
* Or any other situation where you might need me to drive the Miata...

I've made a mental note not to become attached to any of Kev's other autoX cars. I was too heart broken when the S2000 left.

I drove the miata last night, and it was sweet. Not as fast as the S2000 in acceleration (yet)...duh, but it's not as much of a dog as I thought it was going to be! No regrets!

Julie, get in the kitchen and bake me a pie!

I'll photo-chop the picts together. Although I think the funniest thing about that picture is Libby's head - I was sitting next to her - she was on her chair looking at Kev like "WTF?"... and she was far away, but in the picture it looks like she's close enough to sniff his crotch.

Took the past 2 days off from work. On Thursday I spent 5 hours fabricating a hitch for the miata (my first solo welding project). Welding and cutting metal is fun.

I spent $45 in steel, but only used about $30 worth of steel. I bought extra just in case. I spent about $5 on bolts, washers, and nuts. Definitely cheaper and more fun than spending $250 + shipping for a hitch ;)

I wanted to make the hitch as hidden as possible. The only thing visible now is the receiver. Here are some pics:

You cant see the cross bar, just the muffler!

Time for an update.

February = Koni Sports, Racing Beat front swaybar, and Kumho V710s

Yesterday = 205/50/15 Falken Azenis to replace my street tires. The car feels incredible on the street. It takes a lot of restraint to not "play" on the street (the lack of turns on my commute helps too).

Tomorrow = Hard Dog roll bar and Superblue ATE to see what I can do in TA/A

Future = JICs and a lightweight flywheel? hrmmm...maybe in Jan 07 ;)

I'm slow as hell. I only got the front suspension finished today, because I needed to spend some time with the puppy. Tomorrow, the rears and header get installed and the car gets corner balanced. Saturday I'm getting aligned.

Oh, for those who don't know:
1) My konis have been revalved and shortened by propartsusa.com. This company absolutely rocks. Their sales guys are very helpful. They had the best pricing and turnaround times as well.
2) Fidanza flywheel and oem clutch were installed earlier this month by Mike's Place. Too much work for me.
3) Ground controls, header, ss brake lines, new front sway bar endlinks are all making their way on the car VERY soon.
4) Future purchases: custom intake, custom exhaust, smaller diameter steering wheel, new seat, and harness. By custom...I'm thinking home built.
