GOOD LUCK KEV!! wish i could go...and i would have liked to try this sticky course out! but i have no car yay! Let us know how you do :D try those damn pilotis out!!!
It was a fun and very challenging course. Sierra Vista is nice because of the grip and the fact that there were 80 total timed runs and maybe a total of 50 different drivers.
There were 4 run groups, and Tage took the first two run groups. As expected Tage put some smackdown times. 3rd fastest raw and pax times. I had good raw times but was well over 2 seconds behind him. I corded the right front tire somewhere during my 8 runs. Good thing I have a brand new set of Victoracers in the garage :)
The grip is great. The Ft Huachuca lot is very small, especially compared to PIR. As such, it was a pretty tight course and my sway bar on full stiff was NOT the hot setup. I got slight oversteer once, and severe understeer everywhere else. There wasn't enough time to adjust the bar between runs :( If I do another SV event, the sway bar will be softened!
All in all a fun time. Oh the one gripe is that the altitude is 4000+ ft. My car felt like my 70hp civic :( I ran 1st gear up to 9000rpm on every launch, and when I hit vtec it wasn't noticeable.
My mad vtec was sad vtec today :P
