yeah according to everything i've read on the 03 r6, its one of the best all-around performing bikes on the market..including stopping! watch that frt brake! i actually locked up the rear driving home tues, slide sideways towards the back of the car in front. :? there's story #1 for you.

yeah i was a little surprised...road was slick, didnt even feel it lock up until the rear was kicking out. i was only going maybe 5 mph though!
anyways, we should be pros at brakes after this! probably wont order for a few months though.

Rockblocker is selling his set of Stoptech BBK's. Not sure of the price, though. I did stoptech slotted front stock upgrades, and I can't tell shit for difference, but I do need some ss lines.

Yeah...the lines really make a huge difference...Are you still on stock pads Brandon?
The B
05-05-2005, 11:23 PM
No... Stoptech pads up front, Axxis ultimates in the back.
I does stop better, but my brakes feel squishy real quick, still.

Erin, you may want to think about this too.... easy upgrade, and worth it!
It's the H6 rear upgrade, the same that I have. The rotor is 1" bigger, and gives a better feel, the front doesn't lunge like it used to, more of an even stopping feel. Cheap too!!! Uses standard WRX caliper, but has a new bracket and rotor.
H-6 Rear Brake Upgrade
Brackets - 26625AE000
List Price: $67.65
NASIOC: $54.12/ea
Rotors - 26700AE04B
List Price: $82.95
NASIOC: $60.00/ea

I've always wanted a big brake kit and i decided to do it. i want the car to stop like it should, no more of this shitty stock fading crap. axxis ultimate pads in the rear too. :D Rich ran the One Lap using the brembo brakes with no probs as well as the other track events.

awesome! When you planning to toss them on? with how many brake jobs we've been doing lately, we've finally got something we should be able to do without hopelessly breaking something :D

hopefully they will be in tues...i'll probably have them install them because i still have the 240 to finish and sway bars to install on the wrx...and its getting f ing hot.

You could always sell the 240 or the crotch rocket... heh. Unlikely as that is.
How much did it all cost?
wgnths
05-23-2005, 02:55 PM
well i am selling my dirt bike :D it was around $3200 for everything installed. oh and we figured out my ses light was the rear 02 sensor having a fit, so Rich is doing the cel eliminaor for free at least.

Robert.....real nice guy, but Rich said those mistakes dont/arent allowed in his shop. which i respect, as my situation could have been very bad loosing all brakes! I have to say Rich is such a stand up guy! He took me outside and came right out and admitted it was there fault! Apparently the bolts for the caliper werent torqued down, he thoroughly apologized..he also installed my aps cai for free and gave me a good discount on it.
Im very impressed with his actions(sucks someone got fired, not my fault though). I will continue to do biz with dyno-comp and have nothing negative to say about the situation.

I don't let anyone but Joe or Rich himself touch my car, even if it's just an oil change. Joe is definitely the shit when it comes to doing things right the first time. Robert was a nice guy, but I never really trusted him to work on my car, plus there was other issues, but that's not for me to speak of.
I have, and always will, go to Dyno-Comp first, and no one else.

Agreed. I have had experiences with almost every shop in the valley, and I Dyno-Comp is my first choice for things I can't do by myself. Also had good experiences with Pitre/Power Subaru in the past.

I have too, there are only 2-3 shops that I will trust with my baby... Dyno Comp, Forced Air Technologies (but he doesn't do "normal Maintinence"), and The Brake Shoppes (my buddies shop)

yeah when i got my spec v 3 years ago, i dealt with almost every shop and they all stunk...nobody even knew what the car was or wanted to really know. luckily i met andy hu at Apex and we ended up doing lots of first time mods for specs. he's the only one that took the time to listen to me, what i wanted and what the hell a spec v was!! as a result, his new shop Hp Autoworks became the biggest parts seller for spec v's on the net...all in the customer service, which they all seem to lack. Dyno-Comp has that part nailed down.

its the u.s skyline but looks more like a sentra as to hide the rb26detttt. something about emissions. it does well to put down the 650whp to the front wheels though. not bad for $17k really.
