I doing some homework on some R's, have you heard anything about the AVON tech ra's (225/45/17) or maybe Yoko advan a032r's (hard compound) I looked at the kumho v710 but they show "back order"
any suggestions..... :?

what about that new hankook tire? r compound i think :? i wouldnt mind investing in some cheap wheels with r compounds for da wagon.

from what I read, they suck up the heat... and running them in summer?? it might be like running on marshmallow's?? my kumhos will gain 5-8lbs of pressure per run, wonder what the hankooks would do, anyone know someone running them?? like I said I am trying to do some homework so I can hopefully pick some good shoes that will last a season...

Dave Webb has run the avons on his HS focus. He liked them a lot and they weared really well. Sounds like a decent tire to me. Works well for autox.

Stay away from the yoko's as they are more of a road racing tire than autox tire. They don't heat up quickly enough for autox.

V710's are the best tire out for autox bar none. They seem to wear really well too. I think you'd be happy with either the Avons or Kumho Victoracer V700's. They are priced right and have decent life.

The new hankook is supposed to be pretty good, but i don't know much about it.

Right now I only have 2 r compound choices: victoracers or hoosiers. Hoosiers are 1.5 times the cost of victoracers and last half as long. They aren't that much stickier. I want V710's but they don't make my size :(

Thanks for the input, I was leaning towards the kumho's and I would really like to have a new set for the series. I've been stressing about the house, but you know what... I need to have some fun :D
