sometimes.......i have the apexi imoni that records max speed, and i was in the 123mph range all day, down the straight.

I usually check as I pass the last bridge... A little before the braking zone...

I can only hit 115 maybe a little higher if I nail the hairpin leading on to the straight.

All I know, is that its freakin awesome.

You really can't describe the feeling when you have moved your braking point for turn one just a little further than you might be comfortable with.

Lets just say you clench hard enough to chew a hole through the seat, and you dribble a litttle.

is that why your car stinks, inside?

I was hitting 118 at the end.

So who was braking where? I was about a car length after that last set of tires.

Holy shit... I'm a panzy I guess! I was braking right at the first set of tires, that was at ~125-130mph though. A couple of times I started braking later and harder and the ass end of the car sarted to get squirrly. I didn't want to spin so I took it a little easier after that.

I didn't run my rear wing in the first two sessions and the car was pretty squirly in the rear under braking.. when I put it on, it felt a hell of a lot better (more stable).

I usually start to brake just after the first set of tires. I think I am going to concentrate on moving that up a little next time though.

I did make a last minute pass on someone going into one so I had to brake late and take an inside line. Before I did that I would have sworn there was no way the car could do it.

P.S. I know I am a panzy, I dont think there is anyway I could brake after the last set of tires lol.

You just gotta try it! Worst case, you'll overshoot turn 1.. not the end of the world, as the runoff is pavement. If you have an ABS car and you're not in the ABS when you slam on the brakes, you're not braking hard enough.

Next time, hit the brakes at the same point, but get into the ABS. You might find that you hit the brakes too early, so that's when you start changing your braking point.

i was finally hitting abs everytime at that point. i was braking just after the first tires and decided to try later(in time attack, which effed me up but). rear of the car was pretty loose braking later, but doable i thinks from now on.

Yeah, I just need to muster up the cajones...

I rarely hit abs there, except the one time I scared myself :)
Sure was fun after I made the corner though

My RS got to 100 a few times, but I was lifting at the first set of tires, then braking at the second set, or just a little after, and not very hard either. I know I can brake later, and probably carry more speed into that turn than I was. Next time I want to work on this.

So when can I join the time attacks? (just did DE1)

When you are in DE3/4 you can do the time attacks... You will be there before you know it.

Sign up in 2/3 next time, then one of us can vouch for you.. as long as one of us says you're a good driver, you can run.
