Peacemakers is always great long trip music, same with cake.
For long nighttime drives (overnight trips to vegas, etc.) I like sneaker pimps, juno reactor, underworld, ATB, etc.
For short/fun/daytime trips, mainly punk (bad religion, nofx, social distortion, etc.), kmfdm, deftones, wu tang clan, nwa, and prodigy
