So, I'm becoming the "Ben" of troopers or so it seems... lmao! There is a '90 trooper for sale here at I-17 and Camelback that has overheating issues... it's a 4cyl and mine is a 6cyl... But the reason for the possible purchase is that I need a transfercase. The bell housing on the trannys are different but the internals are identical between the v6 and 4cyl engines. All the junk yards I talk to want $650-700 for the tranny alone, and this guy is asking $650 for the whole truck. I can switch the nicer parts from that truck to mine, and then sell that truck for $400 with a motor that overheats and a broken transfercase. that or keep it for a parts car, or get it running good and sell it as a running truck and get my moneys back. :) It has relitively low miles for a trooper 1xx,xxx compared to my 211,xxx on my trooper. AND I can pull the carpet from this one and throw out the junky ass carpet that is sheetmetal screwed into my floorboards. I just thought it was funny that I'm to troopers as Ben is to Alltracs.

haha you suck, Nick :P
and I'm seriously considering parting out alltrac b, mainly because I want my garage back. Keep the best bits, sell the rest, and send the frame to a junkyard (or sell it as a rolling chassis to someone)

I think I'm going to go for it and swap interiors and the transfercase internals... then sell the trooper B to a junk yard or put it up for sale for like $400 then I would have spent a total of $250 on a transfercase, carpet, dash, seats, and whatever else I want from it. :) I could also pull the auto locking hubs off of B if I wanted too aswell, but I'm thinking that is more work than I want to do.

Maybe I'll just sell mine and buy something a little easier to find parts for... Like an older chevy truck. :)

I'm a moron...
Gee, you buy a car and then immediately want to buy a lot of parts for it. Then you convince yourself you should've bought something else...
Um...I think you fit right in ;)

Well, The real reasoning is that Isuzu's are kinda hard to find parts for... AND knowing me and my ultimate lazyness and hate for heat, the cars won't get done... so, I need to sell the Trooper that I own now, and take that money and put it toward a running truck. Prefferably a fullsized GMC/Chevy truck between the years 1980 and 1987... I like the boxy look and 350s are easy to find and build... A/C is really good in those trucks as well, and I can pull shit with it. I fit into the trucks and I can maintain these trucks for relitively cheap because I can buy parts at checker for next to nothing.

Exactly, as soon as I give it a bath and take pictures, it will go back on craigslist.
