Thanks to HP Autoworks, Erin's '02 Spec V that was at one time a perfect, show quality winner, sat in the sun behind Arizona Dyno Chip for the last 13 months. Last weekend we picked up the car and shortly, the revival process will begin!

I'm not sure where it'll end up.. possibly a time attack car, race group, or even a DE/daily driver. Either way it's gonna get some serious TLC, as it's still a nice car with a lot of potential. I've always wanted a backup car, just in case my backup car for my race car takes a dump. :)

Here's what it looked like back in the glory days, for those of you who aren't familiar:

The car arrived at my house without falling off the trailer.. always a good thing. All four tires were flat so we had to fill them up.. a couple wheels are held on by one or two lugnuts each.

The engine hasn't been started in a year, and is missing the header, intake, ECU, various connectors and exhaust manifold studs. The car sat the entire year with no hood, so chances of rain/dirt getting inside the cylinder head and throttle body are pretty good. The valve cover which used to be black, has faded to gray from sitting in the sun. The engine ran at one time, so it should be possible to fix.

The interior is missing some stuff.. door panels, all seats, stereo, trunk liner, steering wheel etc. Inside the car you'll see the front bumper, headlights, a box of wires, various sparco seat brackets and a couple other things.

The hood is no where to be found, but as I said the bumper and lights are inside the car. The rear carbon GT wing is faded and oxidized from exposure. :(

The car is sitting on stock shocks with Maxima springs, which explains the rally car like ground clearance.

rally ground clearance ftw! pretty sad actually, to see how it ended up. i put alot of time and money into that car and have a good trophy collection(won 1st at every show) from it. i need to locate the effin hood......to bad it sat all that time without it. also, it had an ecu in it when i gave it to them. i do have another brand new one, here someplace. also i need to give you the stock rear spoiler, front stb, stock shift knob i think and maybe some other stuff.
I'd like to see you/jason driving the car in race group or ta. qr's are pretty damn cheap nowadays. otherwise, i'll help get it back to driveable and do something with it. burn it in the desert perhaps.
Thank you much for picking it up for me, and mediating with keith. For those that don't know, i let hp borrow the car a year ago, so they could design a turbo kit for resale. they lied to me about where it was, nick saw it at az dyno chip, where it apparently has been sitting, untouched for the last year. worst part is, i had to pay a storage fee to get the car, even though they left it(after keith told them they could only leave it for a couple days). I will be getting my money from hp, one way or another........and the worst part, the guy that left the car there, is an officer of the law in phoenix. F him and F HP Autoworks.

20 minutes after arriving at my house, all signs of HP Autoworks ever having been involved with this car are gone.

That would be nice.. surely whatever the clear tails net on Ebay, could help pay for something.. new hood, engine gasket kit, seat etc.

here's what it looked like shortly after i bought it(remember, vinyl graphics were "in" in 02 baby)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v304/spoolnv/534744_25_full.jpg

Then it went from this: 170whp/170tq with bolt ons, 220whp/230tq with the juice
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v304/spoolnv/534744_27_full.jpg

To this: add an extra 100 whp to above.

And i was so silly, i had two spec v's at once! for 03 they released this yellow in limited numbers.

That makes me sick to see the before and after pics. I can't believe a company would do that.

Erin's car was one of the cleanest cars I've ever seen in person. Dont' forget the custom interior work. That shop did great work.

The black racing harts are still in the "family", and I can't tell you how many compliments we get about them on the Xb :)

If you do a motor swap, go for an sr20ve!

Don't forget, Erin your car was at Phoenix Turbo for a long time as well last summer... Weird, I bet shop after shop picked it clean.

Glad to see somebody with taste, space and skill now has it to bring it back to useability. Can I drive it when it's done? ;)

it wasn't picked apart, that's basically how i had it(sold lots of stuff off it). the only thing missing from when i gave it to them, is the hood and ecu.
that first set of graphics were designed by me and done at ntns.....i wanted something similiar to nismo but different.
