First event like this in the state of AZ! looks like some fun!
Gymkhana is more or less like autocross, but it differs in that it incorporates some of the banked oval at TRP, a few spin turns and a pretty long course.
Details
When: July 3rd, from 7pm - whenever.
Where: Tucson Raceway Park. Take I-10 through Tucson, exit Houghton Road, turn right (west).
Who: ANYONE who wants!
Price: $10
-Expect at least 5 runs, maybe more depending on the turnout.
-Helmets are required
-Vehicle must pass a basic safety inspection - battery tied down, tires in good condition, seat belts, no excessive leaking fluids etc.
-This will be run in conjunction with the Street Freaks event, which will also include drifting, drag racing, a car show etc.
I will post a course map once one is made. This will be a great event, so try and be there! Remember that the temperatures in Tucson cool down significantly at night, so it should be in the 80° range for the event.. not hot
