first mod will be a reese dual cam, weight distribution hitch to aid in trailer towing.

second, delete the stock air box in the fender and a drop in k&n.

third, cheap wheels

fourth, locking tonneau cover so i can keep crap in the bed.

Nice, I had the exact same truck (SR5, OR, Tow, extended cab, 01) cept in Stellar Blue Pearl. They're good trucks. You'll get a bit bored driving it, but I think that's the case with almost all trucks.

PS - I have a stainless Bassani dual rear exit exhaust NIB for that thing if you're interested.

yep, i'll buy the exhaust. i hate driving trucks. only one i've owned was a 94 nissan 2wd hardbody...hated driving it, but it was a great little truck. this should serve it's purpose fairly well. seems people have no real issues hauling around 6200lb travel trailers. the brakes suck ass, so i should have paid attn to the rear drums. gonna do some upgrading there asap.
did you ever tow with yours?

Yup, minor stuff though (uhaul trailer and a buddy's small boat) but those were all around 3k lbs max. The brakes always felt bad to me too. I'm sure there are some better pads for the front. I have no idea about the back.

Here's info on the exhaust... http://www.performancepeddler.com/products_details.asp?PRODUCT_ID=BAS4710025
Think I paid 700 for it a while ago so throw me an offer (was gonna put it on craigslist for 650, but of course I'll give you a better deal)... I'll include all the old newspapers they used as packaging for free!!! That way you can catch up on 03 news :) - you can put it on now and pay me whenever. Back then, this was the highest dynoing exhaust for the Tundras you could find.

Did you detail it? The truck looks so clean.

Make sure to get a spare for your trailer and a tire plug kit.

for an 01 the truck is pretty mint! And the trailer is an awesome piece of aluminum!! Effin light!!!

I had the same weird blueberry-ish colored interior. Now get rid of that Earnheart (sp?) sticker.

yeah haven't peeled the stickers yet. the interior color is ghey, should be gray. did just get the windows all limo tinted though.

no kev, haven't detailed it. thats how it came. i did clean/polish the headlights because they were pretty yellow'd.

gonna get a spare tire mount for the trailer this week, me thinks.

otherwise, the truck is really clean for an 01, but does have a few dings/dents. runs/drives like a new truck though, which is why i wanted a toyota/nissan.

Did you go to that Rocky Mountain place near Surge? They did limo all the way around for you there?

yes, Az mtn did it. you can kinda see in the pics, it had factory tint on the rear and rear side windows. so they went over that to make it limo, did limo on the fronts and added a stripe across the windshield:) they ask if you want it legal or not.
