The car started overheating badly this past Tuesday. Never got into the red, but I was stranded for about a half hour to let the car cool. It was about a gallon low on coolant :roll: The good news is that I was able to fill it up and drive it home. The bad news is that I think the head gasket or maybe even head is foobared. It will consume between a pint and quart of fluid on a 10 mile trip.

I'm going to start looking into JDM-ITR motor swaps. The thought of 200hp on a 2000lb car gets me excited :twisted:

Weird, the car healed itself? It only overheated that one day. Barely consumed any coolant this week. WTF? lol Actually, i think it was so low on coolant, it took a few trips to fill it up. It makes sense, but it's too wordy to explain. I did find a complete B15 cx motor/tranny for $60 lol.

I passed on the $4300 ITR swap, cuz I'm lazy and not sure I want to do all that work. I might actually sell the hatch and maybe try and see if Ryan's brother wants to sell that turbo B13 for like $5000 :twisted:

I'm going through cars faster than Star Jones and chicken thighs at the KFC buffet.

Ok, changed my mind again. I just got the hatch emissioned and will register it for 2 years. Now I'm thinking of buying the following swap from someone locally:

"b16-sir2 swap, itr flywheel, exedy clutch, hyrdro tranny, chipped p28. complete with motor, tranny, ecu, linkage, mounts, axles, etc. everything to drop it right in."

Shortened revalved konis, ground controls with 600/500 pound spring rates, 13" panasports and 235/45/13 Kumho V710's = "STREET MOD" MONSTER

I/H/E, light racing seats, and a gutted rear would finish the bitch off.
The later upgrades would be CF Hood, LSD, rear strut bar, and sway bars.

Money aint a thang! The whole plan is to do this build, inlcuding the cost of the car, for less than 1 years cost of ownership on the S2000.

Once it is done, the S2000 is out and something new will be in:
A) Julie will drive a Scion Xb for for 3 years. After 3 years, I'll dump the b14 for the Xb and Julie will get a Mini Cooper S.
B) Subaru WRX Wagon for Julie...too many people have them. They are becoming like honda boi rice mobiles :lol:
C) STi, Evo 8, or Legacy GT for Julie

Reason for all this juggling? Aside from my car whoring skills, a 2 door convertible might not be practical for us if we breed next year :twisted:

legacy would rock, they have room, look good and power...with lots of aftermarket already. julie would like it i think...cooper s wouldnt be practical for breeding. xb would be, but sorta scares me with child if it was in an accident. hatch plans sound kickass.

Ok, this is weird. I've drove hatch this weekend several times to run errands. No coolant leakage! I'm cornfused!

Maybe I bought this spare CX motor tranny this weekend for nuttin. I've been getting ready to put the car up for sale, but after talking to Marion this on Saturday I want to do a swap LOL.

I think i'm going to list the car on craigslist.org cuz it's free. If it sells, it sells. If it doesn't, then maybe I will just do a swap? hehe.

I'm thinking about an V6 Magnum....I want a V8, but for the money i'd buy an STi.

The reason for a HUGE vehicle such as the titan/magnum is that we'd get an automatic. It would not fit in the garage...and we'd get a remote start installed :)

The car is sold. Getting the title notarized tomorrow and the guy is picking up the car tomorrow night.

Kind of sad...but not really? Feel good about the sale, I got a good price for its condition and disclosed everything I know about the car. Decent price, no guilty conscience, and room for the next vehicle!
