well, most of you knew about it but i was feeling lonely after selling the spec v and 240. i need 3 vehicles at all times apparently...actually, the truck is going bye bye and my plan is to drive this as a daily for a year. then the wife will get it, we'll turn the forester in and i'm thinking an 135i will take it's place.

meanwhile, the wrx gets no love.

well, found my wheels...got an email from the company i ordered the last set from(konig countersteer in time attack color). they said they had one set left, ended up only finding 3 wheels total. so, they offered me these wheels for $430 shipped, which is a killer deal.

still feel pretty gay driving it...but it's the only color i would take. harder to find than i thought. tempe honda had the only 2 in manual in this color.

it actually drives really nice. pretty quiet, handles better than expected. needs a telescoping wheel and 50 more hp.

Erin, I'm honestly jealous. Had a new Fit not been 75% more than my Protege, I'd be driving one. They're awesome little cars.

I drove by a Honda dealership yesterday and couldn't believe how many they had. Looks like they're finally keeping production up with demand.

yes. it feels similiar to the xb. but it has much better response in the high rpms. vtac is something everyone should experience.

yeah, funny used ones are selling for more than new. i wanted white, which they discontinued for '08. found an 07 white in the trader...$17k lol.

i got mine for $15,300 plus ttl. oh and floormats...not standard.

Add me to the list of people that seriously considered these cars, though this was back when they first came out and nobody was ordering them in manual. A white Fit Sport MT would be a fun little car.

yep. they replaced white with some awful purple color. i hear the '09 will offer white again, as people have been complaining. white sport manuals are impossible to find now, and some had awful tan interior.


put the front and rear stb's on last night, and the deal pedal(impossible to drive w/0 one).

front stb was the biggest pita ever. you have to jack the car up and crap. rear was easy. deal pedal was easy.

tested it out in some corners, and they actually do make a difference. car is much more stable and turn-in is improved.

and i'm thinking i may sell the springs i got and go straight to coilovers. these stock dampers are really soft(car has very noticeable dive and squat). and there is no aftermarket dampers yet.

Looking at the website a base model would probably be the way to go.. all the "sport" stuff you'd want to change anyways.

car is already 2550lbs. a few people have the cuscos and like them. same with the teins. teins are too soft for what i'd want, not sure on the cusco rates. megans may be too stiff? i'd still like to talk to nick about some ksports.

i like that the cuscos come setup already. would make things less painful.

I don't know much about the different spring rates (and how the car reacts), but the Ksports seem like a good compromise between the Tein's and the Megan's.

Some weird action going on.... let's look at spring rates.

Of course valving and ride height play a major part in ride comfort and I don't know much about the driving characteristics of the car, but I would throw the better tires/sway bar on there and then try and see which way you need to setup the spring rates. I think the Ksports have a nice intermediate range.

Oh, and I still say put all that CF on there, get that biatch down to 2300 lbs with a K20 and a Cusco LSD and be faster than me :)

yeah, it's confusing...T1R races a Fit in time attack, and do quite well. other than that, nobody seems to have an answer as to why the spring rates are all over the place.
