View Full Version : Pump up the...AC?

Anyone ever use one of those recharge kits for topping off their 134a? I assume it's just screw it on, pull the trigger and when the gauge hits good, disconnect it all. Sounds easy. Of course, I thought the circular saw sounded easy too. Luckily they quit calling me Three Thumbs.

Thats the jist of it.

They were smart and made the Hi and Low side connectors different so you can't hurt yourself.

You need to make sure you take the pressure reading with the AC on, but you probably knew that.

A couple cans should do er. How old is the car?

Both my SHO and the Miata need it. It all went swimmingly once I figured out you have to turn the freon can upside down to get it in the system. The SHO swallowed a whole can and I expect the Miata to do the same.

just be sure not to over fill it! the presure switch will over ride the system and shut things down... but you knew that... :)

And if you are a really good you can actually burst a line on the hi side... thats awesome.
