Yeah, a couple of months ago I bought a fit... and I went the lazy way and got the Automatic.
I'm not going to lie... I love the car, just wish it had some passing power on the freeway.
I have already put a touch screen double din in the dash with Nav... and a Python alarm with remote start and then added the 12" subs from the Evo.
This is a total daily driver for me, so EVENTUALLY it will get wheels and some suspension, but not anytime soon. Getting the WRX back on the road/track is more priority for me.

I have a plan to have more passing power, but I'm not saying until it happens.

I think it needs to be washed.
Yeah my stupid sprinklers are killing it... I need to have it all buffed now to get the hard water spots out. :(

I almost traded the Cobalt in for one this weekend. I just can't let go of the supercharger.
I was suprised at how peppy it was for such a small motor. I guess that's the power of the Vtak! :p

So,
On Friday afternoon, I was leisurely going through a intersection that I drive through 100 times a day. As I was entering the intersection, the light turned yellow. No time to stop, I pursued through the intersection at ~40mph. Some jackass coming the other way saw the yellow light and hauled ass to make his left turn. Without looking he entered the intersection and smacked into me. There was really nothing I could do to prevent it.
The thing that pisses me off is when the cops get there the guy tells them that he was sitting in the intersection and that the light turned red and I hit him as I ran the red light. The cops (because of a conflict of story and no witnesses to back either story) didn't cite anyone. This pisses me off for multiple reasons.
1) Now the insurance companies are the ones that have to pin blame on someone, and since ins companies have priority to protect their client this will take forever and when they settle will probably screw who ever they find not at fault over.
2) The way the cars were situated and where the impact was on each of the cars is kinda a dead give away of what happened in my opinion. (if it is the way I remembered it the cars would look like they do, if it was me running the red light and hitting the other guy... I think that the dead center of his car and the front corner of my car wouldn't look the way they do. I think it would be more me hitting his passenger corner of the car.
3) In AZ, regardless of color of the light, when you are turning left, it is your responsibility to make sure it is clear and safe to turn left. (or so my attorney told me on the phone today)
So now, I get to put up with dick head insurance companies that want recorded statements that I am refusing to give them. I gave a statement to Allstate (my ins comp) but WILL NOT give one to the other.
And since I don't feel like getting screwed over on this little transaction, I am meeting with an attorney tomorrow.
Seriously, in the last year... driving has not been kind to me. 2 criminal tickets that were bogus and now an accident that wasn't my fault.
The good thing about the cops not giving any citations is that I can't afford another ticket. One little ticket and there goes my license for a good amount of time. (stupid drag racing ticket is a class 1 misdominer and 8 points on the record... 8-12 points and they get to suspend your license. I know way too much about AZ traffic law now, way more than I want to know anyways.)
Here are the pictures of the aftermath... I personally think that the car is totaled. The frame looks pretty damn bent in person. I refuse to drive the car if they try to fix it. The adjuster comes out tomorrow afternoon to do their thing. I'm guessing that it's time to go pull the stereo/navigation/alarm out of the car. Good thing it wasn't the Supra or WRX, I'd be effed.

Inasmuch as I understand AZ traffic law, this is a true statement. I am actually surprised the cops didn't cite the guy.
This ARS is a little vague, but the person making a left should have gotten a failure to yield right of way citation perhaps?
ARS 28-772 (http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/28/00772.htm&Title=28&DocType=ARS)
28-772. Vehicle turning left at intersection
The driver of a vehicle within an intersection intending to turn to the left shall yield the right-of-way to a vehicle that is approaching from the opposite direction and that is within the intersection or so close to the intersection as to constitute an immediate hazard.
P.S. I am definitely not a lawyer, this is not legal advice.

Ouch! Suckies!!! No Bueno!!!
But ya AZ law states that the person making the left hand turn must yield to all oncoming traffic! He CAN'T proceed until it is safe to do so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He loses :p I always site dumbasses for that unless the wreckage on the vehicles tells me otherwise. Good luck with that mess!
