8/6/05 mod day @ Nick's parent's house(Old)

Anyone up for working on the unofficial 9and3 drift car on 8/6/05? We can do it at my parent's house cause that is where the beast is right now.

I'd like to strip the interior and get the rear strut bar put in... We can also do some more headlight modding and anything else we feel like, then to cool down we can take a dip in their BIG ASS pool.

Maby we can even tear down the bug and reseal the rear axles and brace the Carb so we can get that running too.

You might be able to get them shipped in one big order but I would put money on probably not. They make the money off the shipping. I know a guy that ordered 2 sets and they charged him 14 bux shipping twice and shiped them in two seperate packages. Bulb companies seem to be jewish like that.

Sure, bring her along... all I can think of is silicone to seal the headlights when putting them together, but ask Erin... he's done it a ton.

No, it has sealer on it already.

By baking the lights you heat up the sealer and allow it to release.

You just reheat and reseal. I haven't seen a leak on erins, bryans or mine yet :)

To put in my 6speed STI tranny... the STI tranny is the same length as the auto tranny and the shafts are almost identical... auto drive shafts are cheaper though... I actually just bought one from PA and am having it shipped here from a junk yard. some poor '99 impreza sedan was totalled and I'm reaping the benefits, I'm saving about 200 bucks from a new one at the dealer.

Thanks for the help guys. Was cool to finaly meet most of you. Im loving the look of my cleared lights. Even though the inside shell is not silver like the 04's, the dark gray with silver reflectors looks real nice with the silver paint. Very nice. Hopefully next time it wont be so humid out. It didnt seem that hot out, but the humidity was a bitch. It was worht it though. Hopefully ill see you guys again next tuesay at the kilt. It will probably be an every other weke thing for myself and the couple guys i bring there.

It's all good we figured it out after breaking one of my stupid reflective things that screws go through... good thing we had some krazy glue around... :oops:

lol my wife still feels bad about the tiny crack in my reflector. ITs not visible, and didnt fully break so i dont care. But yea, the superglue should help... now that ya sliced teh bottle open... :oops:

The lights took about 14min even in the oven each. Then about 8 min to heat it back up and slap em together. The seccond one went fast and painless. So did putting them back in the car. .... otehr than that stupid metal clip that hold the main bulb in. That thing was a bugger.... but i know now. lol.
