from what i have heard the HID event will be held in downtown phoenix. they are blocking off a whole block or something to that effect. SCO is going to have a booth there promoting SCO nights, which is a week after that event. i'll see if i can get more info about showing cars, etc. for you guys.

okay guys, got some info...the event is going to be outside on the block south of America West all the way down to BOB. I think that's Jefferson. From what we understand you are able to show your cars, but it's MAD expensive. Probably anywhere from $25-$50 just to show :roll:

From the one we went to in Atlanta it is mostly local cars in the car show. Most of the very expensive, super duper nice cars are brought by the vendors.

So that's what I know so far...I'll keep you guys posted if I get any more info.

Hey Erin,

I dont know if you guys are aware of the venue change from downtown or not. But this show will be held at Crickets Pavillons now. I had a long talk with the guys at HIN yesterday about the show being outdoors and parking the cars outdoors the night before.

I was told they would have security and putting up a fence around the cars to help control any theft issues and the crowd as well the day of the show. At this time the Scion community in town is not going to be attended the meet since the show is outdoors. Most dont like the idea of there cars being outdoors the night before even if it is gated.

I understand Scion is hooking you guys up w/ the first 20 cars for registration at HIN Phoenix. I love the idea and I’m extremely happy to see you guys getting some backing from the corp. The Scion presence has been growing rapidly in the tuner industry and HIN would like to help out by offering more of a discount for the next 20 scions that would like to sign up.

So basically the first 20 cars will be taken care of by Scion, for the other members that could not get in on it, we will offer a $15 discount to make registration fee’s $40 for only the next 20 vehicles. I feel this is enough presence to effectively boost Scionlife and the Scion signage to the tuner industry. I am willing to work with you guys and setup some car rows dedicated to Scion so please work this out with your people and it looks like we’re going to set even a higher bar!


PS. Regarding the roll in for HIN PHX it will start at 5am to 9am possibly longer depending on our outcome of vehicles. I extremely urge you to show up early as it looks like Scion’s will be definitely worked into the floor plan and it will take some time to setup. Ok so the plan is to roll in at 7am on saturday morning. and by 7am, i mean 7am! no later. we need to be setup by 9am and they are only allowing a few groups to enter on the same day. so lets make it go smoothly! we can re-enter after noon i believe if necessary. Doors open at 5pm to general public.

Things to ponder: Those of us leaving cars in show will need rides home or wherever! Cars in show must stay until show ends(after 1am)

Detailing: since we go early saturday, cars will have to be clean sometime before! maybe a detail day the weekend before? this way, less cleaning will be needed. i would clean as much as possible friday if possible. We can do final detailing at the show. Clean your engine bays, exterior, wheels and interior! Doesnt have to be super spotless, just make it shiny.

I know you are rolling in on Saturday morning. I dont if you are interested in hooking up with us and do it all together or not, but here what we are doing.

Lowe's Hardware off of I-10 and 75th Ave at 6:30 and we are rolling to Crickets at 7:15 sharp. We have at least 20 cars so far going with more maybe coming as well.

Just thought I would throw that out there for others as well.

Dear HIN Competitor
On behalf of VISION ENTERTAINMENT, I would like to welcome you to the most anticipated
event of the year…2005 HIN, Phoenix!
The content below contains crucial information regarding your roll-in and set-up.
Check-In/Load-In will be begin at 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Saturday October 15, 2005. Look
for signs that will direct you to the staging area. While in line you will be classified. After
classification you will be given a modification sheet, two wristbands (event passes), and
regulations for the event. The classification sheet will be used by the judges when they mark their
score sheets as well as spot your vehicle in the show. Your classification sheet must be clearly
displayed on the driver-side window at all times during move-in and show hours.
Regulations
• Placement will be given on a first come first serve basis. What this means is that you
should get to the venue early. If a member of your crew arrives late, does not caravan
with you, and is not in line with you at the time of roll-in, they will not be placed with you
(NO EXCEPTIONS).
• The vehicle must be clean and free of body damage. Project cars and prototypes must
be in a completed state.
• NO support vehicles are allowed inside the venue, you must walk/carry your equipment
inside the venue.
• When you check-in you will be given two wristbands, one for yourself and one for
whoever is going to bring you back the next day.
• FUEL REGULATIONS FOR THIS EVENT is between 1/4 tank to empty. You will not
be allowed inside the venue if you have more then 1/4 tank of gas.
• Cars will be required to disconnect batteries once parked on the show floor. The show
will not start until all batteries have been disconnected.

Our spots are reserved across the row from Surge.

Since this is the case, we need to arrive in time to get in the gates, as opposed to getting there ass-early to get a place in line to get a good spot.


Marion has confirmed with the HIN guys multiple times that we will be across from him, so no worries. This makes me happy as I hate getting up in the AM
