So I accidentally filled my tank with 87 octane fuel
I'm not having any luck siphoning it out, and gas doesn't taste good enough to keep trying
I'm going to go add some octane boost even though I know most of them don't work, any other ideas or suggestions?
My original Idea was to siphon out as much as possible and then go get some 100 octane to even it out, but no luck with that.
Thanks
Dave

Stay off boost and drive around. According to my calculations, you're going to need at least 4.57 gallons of 101 octane to hit 91 cumulative octane assuming a 16 gallon tank. Just for safety you could put even more (I'd do about 7-8 gallons).

Oh, and if you're off boost, the car is simply acting like a low compression naturally aspirated engine which is more than happy with 87.

From what I understand... the NOS brand octaine booster is some of the best on the market... get that.

yeah the nos racing formula does work, but wont help with a tank of 87. he'll need to add 101 like alberto said, to get it back up.

the plan is to drive around a lot tomorrow all nice and slow until it's low enough to get a good 8-10 gallons of 101 in there. this is an expensive mistake :x
Oh well, on the bright side my springs arrived today
