Ok so SEMA is coming up, I would love to go, even just for the last day or something, but understand its not open to the public.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get tickets without being a distributior, media, vendor, business owner, etc?

Anyone have tickets or spots that plan on going or not going? Thanks guys, figured someone on here would know something.

All you need is a buisness card with your name on it... make one on the computer and stand in thier 2hr line to fill out the info... make up some fake car company name, and give a bogus address unless you want TONS of shit coming to your address. I'm still getting mail and faxes from a company I had a couple of years ago.

I thought of all that but it says on the site you need at least two forms of proof, one having to be like a tax form for your business, publication if your media, etc, etc.

Maybe that has changed this year.............first year I have been out west so first year I'm interested in going.

no marion wouldnt be able to give out tix like that. it would look pretty suspect to have 15 people using his id, and it is meant for companies to get the first hand look/chance to get in on new products. and as such, if you go under a shops name, you need to represent them professionally. and they usually require real proof. im going though. :)

Business card is all you need, if that. I've gone the past 3 years and never been asked for anything. Register online WAY ahead of time, pay your ten bucks and you'll get a credential in the mail. After the first year, you just automatically re-sign and you're good.

I've also noticed that during the end of the week there are people that are in no way possibly related to the industry (i.e. just car guys looking at all the cool stuff) so I assume they relax a little bit on Thursday/Friday.

If you want to be on the safe side, you can get business cards for the cost of shipping at vistaprint.com.
