Elec fans

I want to replace the fan on my truck with an electric set up, the truck is like 19 years old, so the fan has to be getting brittle and I dont want it flying thru the radiator. Yah I could just replace the fan but if I go to the electric set up I can gain a couple of ponies. Has anyone put in the electric fans?? was it a pain in the a$$?? I havent really looked into it yet to see whats out there (as in kits) any suggestions??

i havent done it myself, buy my 240 has an electric setup.....easiest way is to wire it up to a switch and you can turn it on and off whenever. or to the ignition(like my 240) and it will run all the time. look at summitracing.com for some ideas on fans.

I was thinking they have some kits with a thermo switch, to kick them on/off. the factory set ups have the thermo switch in the lower radiator hose (Maxima, Stanza old school stuff)
